Job Summary/Basic Functions

Gari Melchers Home and Studio is seeking an energetic, organized, and creative individual to join our team as the part-time Events Assistant. This position provides support to the Events Manager in all aspects of events, both internal and external, such as weddings, corporate retreats, galas, and auctions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to inquiries, administrative tasks, event logistics, marketing, coordination, set-up/break down and event oversight. The ideal candidate is extremely reliable and detail-oriented with sound judgment and willing to "roll up the sleeves" to do what is needed in situations while also maintaining a "big picture" strategic view and a positive attitude. This individual must enjoy working with people; have a customer-oriented focus; and be able to take direction and constructive criticism well.

  • Experience with photography, videography, editing, and production
  • Experience with event management software

  • Experience with marketing and content creation, including brochure/invitation/flyer development
  • Experience with website maintenance
  • Experience with booking, coordinating, and planning events at a venue
  • Knowledge in marketing, promotion, and the design of marketing materials
  • Completion of a college degree from an accredited college/university
