Role Overview

Ampa Events is seeking a highly motivated and creative Interior Designer to join our design and sales team. In this role, you will lead the client experience from initial consultation through final execution of custom event environments and interior spaces. Your primary goal is to interpret client visions, translate them into compelling presentations and design concepts, and drive revenue through consultative sales and relationship building.


This position also includes assisting with event installations and supporting on-site execution to ensure projects are delivered according to the approved design vision.


Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Visualization

  • Conduct thorough client consultations to understand project goals, budgets, and aesthetic preferences.
  • Develop comprehensive design plans including mood boards, floor plans, elevations, and presentation materials.
  • Create photorealistic 3D models and renderings to pitch concepts and visually communicate design intent.
  • Develop innovative event and interior design concepts that enhance the overall client experience.
  • Create detailed design proposals using SketchUp, AutoCAD, and related design software.
  • Source and select furnishings, textiles, lighting, décor, and specialty materials according to project specifications.
  • Present design concepts and recommendations to clients for approval.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, products, and best practices.

Sales & Client Relations

  • Meet and exceed established sales targets by converting consultations into finalized projects and sales packages.
  • Conduct proactive business development and sales outreach to prospective and existing clients.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations that communicate the value, functionality, and experience of proposed designs.
  • Manage client accounts, develop proposals, negotiate project details, and nurture long-term relationships.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal production teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as a professional representative of Ampa Events, delivering exceptional customer service throughout the client journey.

Project Management & Event Execution

  • Develop accurate project timelines, estimates, and budgets for client approval.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and equipment.
  • Monitor all phases of implementation to ensure alignment with design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Assist with event installations, setup, and breakdown as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and event production standards.
  • Support on-site event execution and troubleshoot challenges as they arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Event Design, Environmental Design, or a related field.


Experience

  • Professional experience in interior design, spatial planning, event design, or design-focused sales.
  • Experience in event planning, event production, or experiential environments preferred.

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or related design software.
  • Strong rendering and visualization skills are required.
  • Knowledge of lighting design principles is a plus.
  • Portfolio submission is required and should demonstrate design thinking, rendering capabilities, and completed projects.
