Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Control Manager in Denver, Colorado for a direct hire opportunity with a U.S. based commercial airline. This leadership role oversees real time maintenance control operations while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and fleet reliability across Airbus aircraft.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Control Manager is responsible for supervising Maintenance Control personnel during assigned shifts and serving as the primary decision maker for daily aircraft maintenance activities. This role works closely with Engineering, Flight Operations, Procurement, and Line Maintenance teams to keep aircraft moving safely and on schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary range of $110,114 to $146,157
  • Eligible for annual performance bonus targeting 10 percent with upside based on individual and company performance

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Maintenance Control operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal maintenance procedures
  • Serve as the single point of contact for daily aircraft maintenance decisions
  • Manage MEL, CDL, and NEF processes
  • Approve overtime, assign tasks, and make policy level operational decisions
  • Manage work schedules, vacation approvals, absences, and payroll processing
  • Oversee documentation, reporting, and retention of One Time On Call maintenance records
  • Verify FMIS data entries and perform required corrections
  • Conduct departmental self audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support reliability meetings and provide reports to senior leadership
  • Monitor team performance metrics and ensure required training completion

Required Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Recent hands on experience performing Line Maintenance and Maintenance Control on Airbus aircraft
  • Minimum five years of combined line and or heavy maintenance experience
  • Minimum two years of Maintenance Control experience
  • Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience in a maintenance operations environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Four year college degree
  • FCC Radio License
  • Experience supporting Airbus A320 family aircraft
  • Familiarity with FMIS or airline maintenance tracking systems
