Position Overview

The Document Control Specialist will support and assist the Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers with the management of engineering documents in accordance with government/company regulations for various permanent design projects.

District Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects.  Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk.  Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety.   Clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. Location

This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO  or Omaha, NE office.

Responsibilities

   The Document Control Specialist will support and assist the management of engineering documents in accordance with government regulations and company procedures on various projects.
   The Document Control Specialist is responsible for processing internal and external distribution of engineering documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows, and preparing transmittals for document distribution, as directed.
   Other duties include reviewing and/or conducting quality checks of documents, as needed; configuring, updating and maintaining engineering document management systems and permissions; updating and maintaining various distribution matrixes 

Qualifications

   Bachelor's degree in business, information management, information technology, data management, or computer information systems is preferred, though not required.
    1+ years' experience, requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience. 
   Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
   Excellent written and oral communication skills
   Detail oriented with effective organization and coordination skills
   Ability to:
      -identify and utilize the correct tools, systems and techniques to index, file and control engineering documents
      -remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements
      -multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues
      -work independently
      -effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment
Preferred Experience
   Software Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet
   EDMS such as InEight Document, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum
   Knowledge of construction and engineering related terms
   Knowledge of design build, progressive design build, and CMGC\CMAR contract models
   Knowledge of Bluebeam Studio for comment resolution
   Experience working with AI agents and tools preferred

    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Base Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
