Job description

Kratos is seeking a detail-oriented, Entry-Level Quality Control Inspector to support product and process quality through inspection, compliance verification, and audit support activities. This role is responsible for performing basic inspection tasks while also supporting ESD compliance, workplace organization (housekeeping) audits, and coordination of test equipment calibration tracking.

This position is ideal for an individual beginning a career in Quality Assurance who demonstrates strong attention to detail, discipline in following procedures, and an interest in learning quality systems and standards.

Inspection & Product Verification

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and/or final inspections in accordance with documented procedures, drawings, and specifications.
  • Verify product conformity using basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, visual inspection, etc.).
  • Document inspection results accurately and clearly.
  • Identify and report nonconforming material to appropriate personnel.
  • Support containment activities as directed.

ESD Compliance Support

  • Conduct routine ESD audits to ensure workstations, personnel, and processes comply with ESD control requirements.
  • Verify proper use of grounding devices, mats, wrist straps, and handling practices.
  • Document audit findings and report deficiencies for corrective action.
  • Support awareness and adherence to ESD control procedures.

Housekeeping & Workplace Organization Audits

  • Perform periodic housekeeping audits to support a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
  • Verify compliance with established cleanliness and order standards.
  • Document findings and communicate improvement opportunities to supervisors or area leads.

Calibration Coordination Support

  • Assist in tracking calibration status of test and inspection equipment.
  • Monitor calibration due dates and notify appropriate personnel of upcoming requirements.
  • Help maintain calibration records and documentation.
  • Ensure equipment in use is within its calibration period and properly labeled.

General Quality Support

  • Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation.
  • Follow all quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Quality team.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, spreadsheets, email).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn to use basic inspection tools and equipment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or quality inspection (internship or entry-level acceptable).
  • Familiarity with basic measurement tools.
  • Exposure to ESD-controlled environments.
  • Experience with audit checklists or compliance verification activities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to [50] lbs as required.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for detailed inspection work.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $47,000-$59,000 (hourly position)
