Job description:
A Beef Modernization Sorter must have strong observational abilities while performing precision knife cuts so they may make correct decisions related to pathology, presentation or possible sanitary dressing deficiencies. Beef Modernization Sorters work in a high-paced environment and must understand Food Safety and Quality are their primary responsibility. Beef Modernization Sorters undergo intensive and recurring training and must be willing to train/educate others.
Beef Modernization Sorters work closely with many different harvest floor departments including USDA-FSIS Consumer Safety Inspectors.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
  • Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays.
  • 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
  • Base salary entry level: $24.95/hour
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
