Job description

HR Technology | UKG Pro | Analytics | Compliance

Our client, a growing organization navigating continued expansion and M&A activity, is seeking a Director, HRIS to own and advance its HR technology ecosystem.

This is a hands-on player-coach role for an HRIS leader who enjoys being close to the work. You will serve as the organization's primary UKG Pro expert, leading system administration, optimization, reporting, integrations, compliance, and HR technology projects while providing leadership to a small HR systems team.

What You'll Own

  • Serve as primary administrator and subject matter expert for UKG Pro, UKG Ready, LMS, and related HR technologies
  • Configure workflows, business rules, security, approvals, organizational structures, and system functionality
  • Troubleshoot complex HRIS issues across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and employee self-service
  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, implementations, integrations, testing, and optimization
  • Build workforce dashboards, KPIs, executive reporting, and operational analytics
  • Lead HR technology-related compliance, audits, documentation, and EEO reporting
  • Support M&A integrations, including employee data, systems, processes, and reporting
  • Lead and develop a small HR systems team while remaining directly involved in execution

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Information Systems or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive HRIS, HR technology, HR operations, or related experience
  • Deep, hands-on UKG Pro experience required
  • Strong HRIS configuration, workflow, reporting, and troubleshooting expertise
  • Experience with system implementations and integrations
  • Strong workforce reporting, analytics, and advanced Excel capabilities
  • Experience supporting HR compliance and audits
  • Previous experience leading or supervising HRIS/HR systems professionals
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished HR technology professional who wants Director-level influence without giving up the hands-on systems work. You'll have the opportunity to improve infrastructure, strengthen analytics, support acquisitions, and help build an HR technology environment capable of scaling with the business.
