Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of HRIS & Compliance serves as a strategic leader within Human Resources, responsible for managing the digital infrastructure, employee benefit programs, and organizational compliance frameworks that support InVision Human Services' mission. This role oversees the optimization of HR information systems, ensures the effective administration of benefits, and leads compliance initiatives that align with regulatory requirements and organizational values. The Director provides thought leadership, drives process efficiency, and ensures consistency, accuracy, and transparency across all operations. The Director will provide hands-on leadership, operational support, training and oversight, and create a reliable information support structure for employees and HR team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
HRIS Leadership & Optimization
  • Lead the strategic direction, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and automate HR operations.
  • Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to improve HR service delivery.
  • Oversee HR data governance, reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors.
  • Manage reporting, data pulls, dashboards, and scheduled system tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and automate routine tasks, improve self-service workflows and processes to increase efficiency.

Benefits Administration:
  • Direct and oversee all employee benefits programs, including health plans, retirement, leave management, wellness programs, and voluntary benefits.
  • Lead annual benefits renewal, vendor relationships, and open enrollment planning and execution.
  • Analyze plan performance, cost trends, and utilization; provide recommendations to ensure competitive, cost-effective offerings.
  • Ensure employees receive timely, clear communication and support regarding all benefits-related matters.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and documentation comply with federal, state, and local regulations (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, EEO, etc.).
  • Oversee internal audits, reporting, and recordkeeping to maintain compliance standards.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and proactively prepare the organization for required updates.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and resource for surveys, regulatory data responses and other compliance-related inquiries.

Leadership, Collaboration & Strategy:
  • Partner with the CHRO and HR leadership team to develop long-term HR systems, benefits, and compliance strategies.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to HR team members in HRIS, benefits, and compliance functions.
  • Support organizational change management initiatives through clear, consistent processes and communication.
  • Ensure all systems, benefits programs, and compliance efforts reflect the Mission, Vision, and Values of InVision.
  • Maintain flexible availability and responsiveness both during and outside of normal work hours as necessary

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with primary focus in HRIS, Benefits, and Compliance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS management and system optimization (UKG, or similar preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience creating materials and presenting to senior leadership or board of directors
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Non-profit experience a plus.

Other Requirements:
  • Work- on-site in Wexford, PA, and ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position will work full-time in an office environment, although the nature of the work may sometimes lead to outside meetings.
