Senior Construction Recruiter Job Description: HITT is seeking a Construction Recruiter to join our growing recruitment team and support our expanding national footprint.

This role will be based out of our Los Angeles regional office. The Construction Recruiter will support full cycle recruiting efforts and manage candidates throughout the interview and selection process for positions across the organization, with a primary focus on core construction hiring within our Operations and Site Operations employee groups, as well as business unit resource functions as required. This role reports directly to the Recruiting Manager at HITT and offers an opportunity to grow within a collaborative, construction-focused recruitment team. Responsibilities Support high-volume, full cycle recruiting for core construction and select supporting business roles across HITT’s national footprint, from sourcing through offer.

Recruit for Operations (Project Management) roles — positions that lead the planning, coordination, contract/financial oversight, and overall delivery of construction projects, from supporting the project team with documentation and coordination through managing entire projects and client/account leadership (Construction Assistant through Project Executive). Recruit for Site Operations (Field Leadership) roles — positions that lead on-site execution, including day-to-day field supervision, safety/quality enforcement, schedule and logistics coordination, and overall jobsite leadership on increasingly complex projects (Assistant Superintendent through Site Operations Executive). Support recruiting for key business unit resource functions, including MEP, Quality Control, Safety, and Preconstruction.

Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience by providing clear role and process expectations, timely and consistent communication, thoughtful interview coordination, and a professional, inclusive experience from first outreach through offer decision. Work directly with hiring managers to understand immediate staffing needs, screen candidates, and coordinate interview schedules. Create and manage requisitions in Workday, including posting roles and maintaining accurate job and candidate data.

Proactively source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, outreach, and diversity recruiting initiatives. Maintain strong candidate engagement by communicating regularly throughout the interview and selection process and providing timely updates. Coordinate and conduct reference checks and assist with pre-employment screening as needed.

Support offer administration by preparing and delivering verbal and written offers for exempt and non-exempt roles and maintaining accurate recruiting records in Workday ATS. Assist the Recruiting Manager with talent pipeline development, employer branding activities, and recruiting metrics reporting. Help ensure hiring practices comply with federal and state employment laws, including EEO and OFCCP requirements, and act as a resource to teams across the organization.

Support campus recruiting on a limited basis, including traveling 1–3 times per year to represent HITT at assigned career fairs or local university events and coordinating follow-up with interested candidates. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 1–3 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience; construction recruiting experience is a plus Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Ability to engage and build relationships across diverse personality types Experience using ATS and job board platforms; Workday experience is a plus Familiarity with EEO, FLSA, and OFCCP regulations related to recruiting and hiring Comfortable working in an in-office environment, four days on-site required Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Basic knowledge of Boolean search logic for candidate sourcing, with a willingness to develop and expand sourcing skills In accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is: $73,700.00 - $95,700.00 Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
