Job description

Sr. Compensation Analyst

Position Summary: The Polyglass Human Resources team seeks a talented analyst with a heavy background in the areas of compensation.  This team member will support the Compensation Manager in developing analytics, dashboards and reports that will support and further the compensation strategy at Polyglass. 

What You Get to Do:

  • Create dashboards, reports, metrics, data modeling and other analytics to support benchmarking, leveling, grading, budgets and other areas of compensation for the Polyglass business unit including nearly 700 employees across North America
  • Assist in the creation of process and workflows for all activities related to compensation, employment data transfer, internal mobility (transfer, promotions), etc.
  • Provide support in the management of budgets and employee headcount
  • Generate and provide supporting data in the new hire offer process used to guide talent acquisition and hiring teams to offers that are competitive and maintain internal equity within departments
  • Analyzes markets using data from ERI, salary surveys and other sources
  • Perform evaluations of existing and newly created roles including benchmarking for proper compensation structure and salary ranges (min, mid, max, recommendation) and FLSA compliance.  Contribute data to help in counseling  management on policies, job evaluations and compensation recommendations
  • Continually evaluate salary grades, compensation structures, and analytics.  Act as part of a team to propose changes and improvements to current plans and to ensure alignment with market trends and company goals
  • Manage complex data and reporting including transfer of data between various sources including spreadsheets, HCM systems, payroll systems, etc.  
  • Oversee internal and external audits centered on all data and records that connect to HR, Hiring and Employee Records
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of presentations to audiences that can include Executive Team Leaders, Global Teams and internal departments or individuals. 
  • Involvement in HR Systems management, training and troubleshooting in the following systems: Core HR, Pre-Hire/Onboarding, other third-party tools and systems
  • Provide data and support for the bonus and merit process as well as cost modeling, and offers recommendations to best incentivize employees and ensure a competitive market advantage

The Skills and Experience You Bring to our Team:

  • 7+ years' experience in compensation analysis 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Finance, Data Management or related field
  • Certifications: CCP strongly desired.  Coursework from ERI, World at Work
  • Working across various systems and ensure proper 'communication' / data transfer between them as needed. 
  • Expert level Excel skills required including strong knowledge and experience in the following functions:
    • index and match
    • power queries
    • pivot tables
  • Data Management. Experience in pooling data from various sources, data warehousing, data analytics, reporting
  • Technical Skills (Software and Systems): HR systems including HCM/HRIS (Oracle, ADP strongly preferred), MS 365 with a focus on Teams, PowerPoint and Excel.  Data Mgt tools: Power BI and other tools. 
  • Experience with a variety of compensation models including, but not limited to exempt, non-exempt, direct labor, overtime, executive compensation, variable compensation, bonuses (short-term incentives, sales, etc.), performance-based merit, sales, commissions, etc.
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP/WFN), HR analytics are preferred but not required
  • Experience in working for a manufacturing company preferred but not required
