Allyn International is currently looking for an Entry-Level Tax Analyst to join our Tax team in Fort Myers, FL! Allyn International is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992. We provide high-quality, customer-centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Our clients range from small local businesses to Fortune 500 firms in multiple industries.
The Tax Analyst provides support to our clients, including but not limited to Accounting, tax, and administrative functions preparing sales and property tax returns, pulling and analyzing data, and ensuring to deliver exceptional service. Tax Analysts will also provide opportunities to add value to clients, streamline processes, and identify and apply for tax savings for clients where applicable.
Position Details:
Location: Fort Myers, Florida-a hybrid, one-day-a-week remote opportunity
Position/Classification: Full-Time; Exempt, Entry-level
Compensation: $45,000 to $50,000
Hours of Work: Regular business hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
Physical Demands: Sitting, typing
Work Environment: In-office Cubicle

Required Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent college degree - focus preferred in business, economics, finance, or accounting

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately complete and timely file and/or provide support for filing applicable tax-related returns and reports
  • Ensure that appropriate tax is paid by consistent review and evaluation of all data
  • Make appropriate and timely payments by check, online electronically, or wire transfer requests as required, and keep complete documentation and backup
  • Provide budgets to clients as required
  • Timely reconcile the sales register, asset lists, use tax reports, bank accounts, and tax accounts
  • Provide tax accrual and journal entry advice to clients as required
  • Maintain credit, pre-payment, and estimated payment carry-forward schedules
  • Respond efficiently to jurisdictional inquiries/requests and log all correspondence appropriately
  • Timely file and pay all licenses, permits, estimated payments, miscellaneous and annual reports as required
  • Manage refund claims, customer tax credits, issuance of exemption certificates, and client/customer requests
  • Maintain exemption/resale certificates, FRET certificates, and 'held' credits within appropriate software (Allyn's or clients)
  • Provide appeals, protests, and audit management and/or support
  • Ensure appropriate listing and valuation of the property
  • Maintain and abide by current due date calendars
  • Perform miscellaneous projects as requested
  • Interpret and comply with federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and legislation
  • Maintain and abide by SOPs and work instructions
  • Maintain client tax records and documentation in specified shared folders
  • Provide complete tax compliance and consulting to clients with end-to-end accountability
  • Contribute to company and team initiatives, objectives, projects, and campaigns
