Compensation Analyst Job Summary

Compensation Analyst Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze current compensation programs and recommend changes as needed
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and salary bands
  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends in salaries and benefits
  • Research and develop salary surveys
  • Assist with the development of salary adjustment and merit increase programs
  • Assist with the development of incentive plans
  • Support managers and HR colleagues with the administration of compensation programs
  • Prepare reports for senior management and the Board of Directors

Compensation Analyst Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employee compensation laws
  • Able to analyze and interpret data
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
