Job description

The Client Account Manager will be responsible for understanding our client’s project pipelines and identifying targeted projects to strategically pursue. Once a project opportunity has been targeted, the Client Account Manager will work with the Capture Team in generating the proposal through award, negotiations and contract signature. The Client Account Manager will remain the primary point of contact through the proposal process to ensure that we are meeting the client strategic considerations as well as schedule and deliverables. The Client Account Manager will not be responsible for doing the work on a proposal, however they will identify the recommended capture strategy and work to ensure that we are serving our client’s needs accurately and in a timely fashion. The Client Account Manager will not be simply seeking RFPs, they will be seeking strategic partnership opportunities that ensures the mutual success of Primoris Renewables and our clients. This is a highly strategic role that will require an understanding of the development, financing, permitting, scheduling, execution, technical and contracting strategies that result in capturing targeted projects.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote the services of Primoris Renewable Energy to new and existing customers, decision makers and influencers within the Renewable industry
  • Research markets and market trends in existing and emerging markets. Provide recommendations to the team on reaction to the ever-changing trends.
  • Examine information on new perspective clients, and provide recommendations on the pursuit of those clients.
  • Work with our Strategic Clients in the identification, due diligence, and development strategies of opportunities. Further assist in the financial, schedule, logistics and execution plans for the projects to ensure they meet Primoris Renewables and the Client’s needs.
  • Once qualified, pursuit of such work to secure backlog for the company, while meeting the financial forecasting expectations of the organization
  • Communicate within the organization of potential project opportunities, and develop the capture strategies to secure project awards.
  • Work with the Capture Team (led by the Proposal Manager) to execute the capture strategies during the Proposal process, while ensuring the commitments by the Client Account Manager, Senior Management, and other key stakeholders are u
  • Continue as the main point of contact for the Strategic Clients during each of the development phases including: Identification & Development, Bidding, and Contracting Phases.
  • Before, during and after project execution, provide feedback on the perception of outside customers and influencers about Primoris Renewables so that changes and strategies can be developed for company improvement.
  • Continue to develop and maintain strong business network within the Renewables community.
  • Actively participate in industry groups & affiliations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 4 to 7+ years in the EPC industry required, and experience in multiple departments within EPC is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Business Development, Estimating, Proposals, or Project Management
  • Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power Generation.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of the renewables (solar) industry terminology and delivery methods.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • The ability to listen to our clients, and effectively discriminate that information to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Be self-driven.
  • The ability to work well with within a team.
  • Strong technical skill within the Solar PV industry preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • Public speaking skills.
  • Persistent and follow through in a consistent manner.
  • Generate partnering opportunities; design-build, value engineering efforts and create solutions for the project approach.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Primoris’s practice, clientele, goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of contractual terms, risks, and mitigation measures.
  • Some knowledge of project financial structures.
  • Some knowledge of forecasting techniques.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills.
  • Preference is given for skills in Business Development planning, and Strategic Account Management skills.
