This role is designated as hybrid/on-site for employees located within commuting distance of our Somerset, NJ office. Candidates who reside outside the defined commuting area may be eligible to work remotely, subject to business needs and applicable employment requirements.
Job Summary
The CAS Manager oversees Client Accounting Services (CAS) engagements and is responsible for the accurate, timely delivery of outsourced accounting services for assigned client portfolios. This role manages accounting teams, ensures quality financial reporting, and serves as a primary client contact for day-to-day accounting and advisory needs.
Essential Functions
โ€ข Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close for assigned client portfolios
โ€ข Review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and compliance
โ€ข Manage, coach, and evaluate Senior Accountants and Accounting Associates
โ€ข Serve as primary client contact for ongoing accounting needs and issue resolution
โ€ข Manage workflows, deadlines, and resource allocation across client engagements
โ€ข Support process improvements and implementation of accounting best practices
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
โ€ข Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
โ€ข Demonstrated experience managing accounting teams and client relationships
โ€ข Experience overseeing month-end close and outsourced accounting services
โ€ข Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Public accounting or outsourced accounting experience
โ€ข CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure
โ€ข Experience providing CFO-level or advisory support to clients
Physical & Cognitive Demands
โ€ข Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
โ€ข Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
โ€ข Ability to exercise professional judgment, manage competing priorities, and lead teams effectively
