The Role at a Glance

The Sr. Account Manager, Relationship Management leads strategic efforts to grow and retain business across the annuity, life insurance, and LTC product lines. This role builds and strengthens relationships within the wire and bank channels to deepen engagement, expand product presence, and ensure an exceptional client experience. Success in this role comes from understanding each firm's business model, anticipating client needs, and delivering solutions that support sales growth, profitability, and long-term partnership.

What you'll be doing
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans that drive sales growth, market expansion, and retention within assigned firms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key decision makers across wire and bank channels to support high client satisfaction and long-term partnership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on LFG products, services, and operational processes while providing consultative guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead complex client relationship strategies that address service needs, resolve escalated issues, and support overall profitability and product breadth growth.
  • Identify at risk clients and implement retention strategies that strengthen engagement and protect existing business.
  • Profile assigned territories to identify opportunities, cultivate new relationships, and introduce the appropriate LFG resources to expand market presence.
  • Participate in industry organizations and events to enhance LFG visibility and leverage sponsorship or speaking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless processing of sold products and to share intelligence that supports business planning and strategy.
  • Conduct client meetings and finalist presentations to support sales targets and business growth objectives.
  • Maintain responsibility for budget adherence, regulatory compliance, and the representation of LFG with professionalism and integrity.
  • Monitor industry trends and partner with leadership to incorporate new developments into future strategies and solutions.
What we're looking for

Must-Haves

  • 3-5 Years experience in relationship management that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities for this role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • FINRA Series SIE, 6, 63, L&H
  • Analytical skills and close attention to detail is necessary
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment

The pay range for this position is $94,500 - $250,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
