Job Summary

The Banquet Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all banquet and event operations at Hilton Richmond Downtown. This role ensures exceptional guest service, seamless event execution, and efficient management of banquet staff. The Banquet Manager works closely with the Sales and Culinary teams to deliver high-quality events while maintaining Hilton brand standards and achieving financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all banquet operations, including set-up, service, and breakdown of events

  • Ensure events are executed according to BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) and client expectations

  • Maintain a high level of guest service and promptly resolve any issues or concerns

  • Collaborate with Sales, Catering, and Culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution

  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor costs in alignment with business needs

  • Train, coach, and develop banquet team members to ensure service excellence

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate event details clearly to staff

  • Monitor inventory, equipment, and supplies to ensure operational readiness

  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies

  • Assist in budget management, cost control, and achieving revenue targets

Minimum RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management preferred

  • 2-4 years of banquet or food & beverage leadership experience, preferably in a full-service hotel

  • Prior experience with Hilton brand standards preferred

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
