Job description

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We currently have an opening for a Back Office Medical Assistant. Experience in Cardiology preferred.

Job Type: Part-Time, Direct Hire

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Hours: Mon, Weds, Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm


Back Office Duties:

The Back Office Medical Assistant in our cardiology clinic plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities include rooming and preparing patients for appointments, obtaining and accurately documenting detailed medical histories and cardiac-related symptoms, and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse oximetry, height, weight, and EKG readings. The Medical Assistant performs EKGs, assists with cardiac stress tests and other in-office cardiology procedures, administers injections and medications as directed, and completes venipuncture and specimen collection with proper labeling and processing. Additional duties include preparing and sanitizing exam rooms, stocking clinical supplies, educating patients on procedures and follow-up care, maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards, and supporting overall back-office workflow to ensure a high level of patient-centered care.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a cardiology setting, with a strong understanding of cardiac patient care and specialty clinic workflow. Bilingual Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population. Medical Assistant certification and current CPR certification are required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, including accurate vital sign collection and EKG performance, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain thorough and accurate documentation in a fast-paced cardiology environment while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
