Job description

Under general supervision, coordinates the cardiology services. Applies Holter monitors and scans Holter tapes. Takes electrocardiograms
(ECGs/EKGs). Assists cardiologist in computerized exercise treadmill testing (ETT/stress test). Performs associated clinical and clerical
duties, including computer editing of ECGs. Directly supervises EKG staff, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, competency assessment, and ongoing professional development. Partners with the Radiology Manager and Director to ensure staff performance, engagement, and accountability goals are achieved.
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalency
Licensures/Certifications:
Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification)
Active CET License or CET Eligible with credentialing within 6 months of hire
Experience:
At least 3yrs of related work experience
Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias
• Knowledge of cardiac terminology
• Ability to delegate responsibility when necessary
• Excellent organizational skills
• Analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot computerized equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday while performing clinical, supervisory, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to move throughout patient care areas, including inpatient units, outpatient areas, and procedural spaces, as needed to support department operations.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for tasks requiring fine motor coordination, including operating computers, medical equipment, and performing EKG-related procedures.
  • Ability to visually assess EKG tracings, operate diagnostic equipment, and review electronic documentation.
  • ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members through verbal, written, and electronic communication.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and position equipment or assist with patient preparation during clinical procedures.
  • Ability to transport and/or assist with moving portable EKG equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to respond promptly to patient care needs, workflow changes, and emergency situations within the clinical environment.
  • May require occasional exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and other healthcare-related hazards while following established safety precautions and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay Range
$17.64 - $27.48
