Job description

Morris Heights Health Center is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Marketing to lead strategic marketing, branding, communications, and community engagement initiatives that support organizational growth, patient access, and community visibility.

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that promote MHHC’s services, programs, and mission across the communities we serve. This role will oversee campaign development, brand positioning, digital and print marketing, public relations, and outreach strategies designed to attract new patients, retain existing patients, strengthen referral relationships, and expand community partnerships.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, data-informed, and community-focused marketing leader who understands the importance of connecting healthcare services with the needs of diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Marketing will:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to increase awareness of MHHC’s services, programs, and initiatives.
  • Strengthen brand awareness, positioning, and visibility across MHHC’s service areas.
  • Lead marketing campaigns that support patient growth, retention, engagement, and service-line awareness.
  • Oversee the marketing team and provide leadership, guidance, feedback, and professional development.
  • Coordinate marketing projects from concept through execution, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Analyze campaign performance, return on investment, outreach outcomes, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop community engagement strategies that support MHHC’s mission and enhance public perception.
  • Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, local forums, and public-facing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, faith-based institutions, hospitals, civic groups, and referral sources.
  • Create and manage marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, digital content, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor marketing trends, community feedback, public sentiment, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and outreach channels.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related area.
  • Healthcare marketing, community engagement, or nonprofit/FQHC experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of branding, outreach, digital marketing, social media, and campaign analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate ROI and use data to guide decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and team supervision skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
  • Creative, strategic, and solutions-oriented mindset.
