Job Description:
At Job Duck, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Back Office Legal Assistant who thrives in a structured yet evolving environment. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting estate planning and elder law operations by drafting essential documents, organizing back-office workflows, and ensuring accuracy across all deliverables. Your ability to understand the broader scope of legal work while executing tasks independently will directly contribute to the firm's efficiency and client outcomes. • Salary Range: From 1,142 to 1,220 USD
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Review and improve existing procedures where applicable
  • Assist in streamlining workflows and processes through automation tools
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational efficiency
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of legal documentation
  • Manage and maintain back-office systems and processes
  • Organize and maintain digital files and records
  • Support document preparation for estate planning matters
  • Draft summaries, estate plans, and other legal documents

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience working as a legal assistant or in an administrative legal support role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish fluency preferred as well)
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to understand legal processes and document workflows
• Highly organized and capable of managing back-office tasks efficiently
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without micromanagement
• Eager to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
• Comfortable working in a structured legal environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Alignment with values such as professionalism, accountability, and collaboration
• Location and timezone: Remote, Eastern Standard Time (EST)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 9AM to 3PM (working hours can be flexible)
• Expected call volume: No client calls involved
