Assembly SupervisorAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved. This role is responsible for supervising assembly personnel, driving productivity improvements, supporting Lean initiatives, and developing team members while maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily assembly operations to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements

  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop assembly personnel and group leaders

  • Direct workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and product flow

  • Monitor and improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing performance metrics

  • Supervise up to 20 employees and conduct performance evaluations

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, housekeeping, and operational standards

  • Train employees on assembly processes, machine operation, and production tooling

  • Support and lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Establish and maintain tooling and equipment maintenance procedures

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production activities and shop floor operations

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support operational objectives

  • Drive problem-solving efforts and process improvements within the department


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with ERP/MRP manufacturing systems

  • IPC-610, J-STD, and IPC-620 certification or experience preferred

  • Experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges

  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
