Job description

SCOPE:
Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality nonconformance.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
  1. Uses appropriate safety measures
  2. Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained
  3. Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
  4. Follows applicable work instructions.
  5. Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
  6. Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
  7. Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

TOOLING & EQUIPMENT: Saw blades, adjustable wrench, allen wrenches and tape measure.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Saw fin tube to required lengths.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Select proper material to be cut. Load and unload saw.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Obtain proper production order. Load saw with material to be cut. Set-up saw table for proper length. Make routine quality checks on length and end treatment. Make necessary adjustments as needed. Blow out chips from all finished material. Tag each lift of material with proper information. Unload finished material to proper storage area. Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. NOTE: Tolerances used - overall length - +1/8", -0".
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a high regard for safety awareness. Must be able to read tape measure.
