Job description

The Production Manager will oversee and coordinate the manufacturing processes within the adhesive and chemical production environment, managing a medium-sized team of 11-25 employees. This role focuses on optimizing production planning, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety compliance, and driving continuous process improvements to meet operational goals. The Production Manager will utilize tools such as Spreadsheet applications, SAP Business One, and Sharepoint to monitor schedules, inventory, and reporting, all while fostering a productive and safe workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the production scheduler to meet manufacturing goals
  • Ensure consistent quality control across all product lines
  • Supervise and support a team of 11-25 production staff and team leads
  • Work directly with the operation manager to maintain and monitor inventory levels
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and compliance
  • Coordinate production activities and schedules to align with business needs
  • Prepare and analyze production reports and performance metrics
  • Work with other production managers to monitor team performance and provide development opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in production management
  • Degree in Business or related field encouraged but not required
  • Proficiency in production scheduling and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of safety standards within manufacturing
  • Strong team leadership and development skills
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
