Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office in Culver City / 2 days remote)

Who We Want

The Production Director is a senior production and operational leader responsible for overseeing large-scale experiential and influencer marketing programs across key agency accounts. This role provides strategic oversight across multiple workstreams while ensuring operational excellence, financial accountability, scalable process development, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
This individual will play a critical role in evolving and stabilizing the agency's production infrastructure by helping establish SOPs, resourcing frameworks, production standards, and scalable operational processes that support long-term agency growth. While the majority of the role focuses on program and team oversight, this position is also hands-on when needed and may directly produce select events or activations.
The Production Director serves as a senior partner to Account, Influencer/Talent, Creative, Innovation, Finance, and Operations teams, while also acting as a trusted client-facing production lead.

Program Oversight & Operational Leadership
  • Provide end-to-end production oversight across large, multi-faceted experiential and influencer marketing programs

  • Oversee and establish production standards, SOPs, workflows, timelines, and scalable operational best practices across assigned programs

  • Lead operational process improvements focused on scalability, efficiency, consistency, and cross-functional alignment

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality, operational consistency, and efficient execution across all workstreams

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for production-related risks, challenges, and decision-making

  • Participate in client meetings as a senior production lead, providing clarity, confidence, and strategic problem-solving

  • Partner with department leadership to support long-term production infrastructure planning and operational scalability

Financial Oversight & Resource Management
  • Oversee financial health across assigned programs including budget tracking, forecasting, margin management, and risk escalation

  • Partner with Account and Finance teams to ensure programs remain operationally and financially aligned

  • Review staffing utilization and oversee production resourcing across assigned programs and team members

  • Identify staffing gaps and proactively recommend freelancer, contractor, or full-time staffing solutions based on business needs

  • Support long-term resource planning to ensure teams are appropriately staffed to support agency growth 

Team Leadership & Development
  • Directly manage and mentor production team members focused on experiential and influencer-related programs 

  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support to grow production talent and elevate output 

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented team culture

  • Help establish clear team structures, communication expectations, and operational accountability across production teams

Department & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Represent the Production department in cross-functional operational and organizational initiatives

  • Partner with leadership teams to improve department processes, staffing structures, communication workflows, and operational efficiencies

  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Influencer/Talent, Operations, Finance, and Account teams to support integrated program delivery

  • Act as a key stakeholder in evolving production operations to support long-term agency and client growth

Technical Production Expertise
  • Deep hands-on understanding of experiential production execution including fabrication, scenic, permitting, labor, staffing, venue operations, logistics, technical production, and on-site management

  • Proven ability to independently lead complex event builds and troubleshoot production challenges in real time

  • Strong understanding of production methodologies, fabrication processes, material applications, install sequencing, and operational feasibility

  • Ability to evaluate vendor recommendations, identify production risks, and make informed executional decisions under compressed timelines

  • Experience balancing creative ambition with operational practicality, budget management, and executional realities

Event & Activation Production
  • Produce select experiential activations as needed, owning timelines, budgets, logistics, and execution

  • Oversee vendor sourcing, fabrication, staffing, permits, insurance, and on-site operations when producing directly

  • Ensure all events meet safety, compliance, and quality standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years of experience in experiential production, event marketing, or integrated marketing environments

  • Proven experience overseeing large, complex client programs with multiple workstreams

  • Strong leadership experience managing and mentoring production teams

  • Experience developing operational workflows, SOPs, or scalable production processes strongly preferred

  • Deep understanding of experiential logistics, fabrication, permitting, budgeting, forecasting, and on-site execution

  • Experience supporting influencer or social-first campaigns strongly preferred
