Job description

HubSpot Activation Manager
Remote | Full-Time

Instrumental is seeking a HubSpot Activation Manager to help our clients successfully adopt and maximize their investment in HubSpot. If you're passionate about helping teams succeed with powerful tools like Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and Service Hub, and you love rolling up your sleeves to make that happen, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

As a HubSpot Activation Manager, you’ll own the successful activation, adoption, and practical operationalization of HubSpot for Instrumental clients. Your mission? To ensure each client’s portal, processes, and team habits are aligned to business outcomes, scalable workflows, and long-term platform value. This is a role that turns HubSpot from software into operational momentum.
You’ll:

  • Lead activation engagements for HubSpot Marketing, Sales, and Service Hubs to drive long-term platform adoption.

  • Tailor activation plans based on business objectives, tech stack, and goals.

  • Identify and recommend where AI tools and automation may improve speed, consistency, and clarity.

  • Advise clients on best practices, strategic use cases, and scalable systems.

  • Monitor user performance, adoption trends, and configuration quality.

  • Deliver expert training and coaching directly in the platform.

  • Guide clients toward expansion opportunities and long-term success with HubSpot.

  • Stay up to date on the latest HubSpot features, AI tools, and productivity accelerators.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just use HubSpot, you love it. You’re comfortable advising executive stakeholders, training hands-on users, and tackling complex configurations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4–8 years of hands-on HubSpot experience (Marketing, Sales, and Service Hubs).

  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliverables simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and client-facing.

  • A strong background in digital marketing, marketing ops, or rev ops.

  • Experience training teams and driving user adoption.

  • A love for problem-solving and a bias for action.

  • The ability to self-manage, prioritize effectively, and work autonomously.

  • A passion for helping others achieve their goals and grow their skills.

What We Offer

We take care of our people with a benefits package designed to support your health, growth, and well-being:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Short- and long-term disability

  • Accident insurance

  • 401(k) retirement plan

  • 15 paid holidays + generous PTO

  • Quarterly incentive plan

  • A close-knit, high-performing team that truly cares
