Job description

We're looking for a bilingual Project / Implementation Manager & Account Development Executive with deep knowledge of payment networks to join our fast-growing fintech startup. In this role, you'll lead client and partner implementations, support the development and optimization of our global payment products, and drive account growth across strategic clients and partners, with a strong focus on the United States and LATAM regions.
What You'll Do
  • Own and evolve our cross-border payments offering across the US, LATAM, and other key markets.
  • Lead end-to-end client and partner implementations, ensuring successful onboarding, configuration, testing, and go-live.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and compliance teams to build scalable, secure payment solutions.
  • Integrate and manage payment rails such as ACH, SEPA, Visa Direct, RTP, and regional payment systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation lifecycle and post-launch support period.
  • Drive product decisions using market insights, regulatory requirements, customer feedback, and partner input.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on payment ecosystems, market requirements, and customer needs across the US and LATAM.
  • Manage technical integrations, including APIs, payment workflows, and partner connectivity requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, increased transaction volumes, and expansion of services within existing client portfolios.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients and partners to ensure alignment on objectives, performance, and future initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal resources to resolve client issues, manage escalations, and ensure exceptional customer success outcomes.
  • Support revenue growth through account development, client retention, and strategic relationship management.

What We're Looking For
  • Based in the United States or LATAM.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, implementation management, account management, customer success, or payments operations within fintech or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of ACH, RTP, Visa Direct, SEPA, and other regional payment networks.
  • Familiarity with payment messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT formats.
  • Experience with cross-border payments, remittances, treasury services, banking, or money movement platforms.
  • Experience managing client-facing implementations and technical integrations.
  • Understanding of APIs, payment processing workflows, and financial technology ecosystems.
  • Strong relationship management, account development, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to identify upsell, cross-sell, and business expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Hands-on, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while coordinating effectively across multifunctional teams.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with banks, payment processors, fintechs, money transmitters, or financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements affecting payments in the US and LATAM markets.
  • Experience supporting enterprise clients and strategic partnerships.
  • Previous experience in customer success, account management, business development, or commercial relationship management within the payments industry.
