Job description

Sales & Account Development Coordinator

Location: Milwaukee, WI โ€“ Hybrid Schedule

Compensation: Non-Exempt, Non-Commission Based + Annual Bonus Potential

A well-established leader in the Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding industry is seeking a proactive professional to join their dynamic team. This role is designed for a relationship-driven individual who excels at providing high-quality service support and identifying growth opportunities within an existing client base.

This position offers a unique "foundational" experience; while you will primarily support current accounts, the role is designed to provide the exposure and skills necessary for potential progression into broader business development or senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive Account Management: Maintain strong relationships through regular communication, conducting service reviews, and resolving customer concerns.
  • Customer Onboarding: Facilitate the setup of new accounts and independently manage small-volume client transitions.
  • Strategic Growth: Analyze account activity to identify cross-service opportunities and execute re-engagement strategies for past or low-activity clients.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Utilize CargoWise, Tableau, and Excel to track customer contact frequency, prepare KPI reports, and maintain accurate activity logs.
  • Regional Engagement: Travel approximately 50% within the local Milwaukee/Madison area for client meetings and industry trade shows.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of customer service or account support (experience in logistics, international trade, or customs is a major plus).
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel); experience with CRM systems, CargoWise, Canva, or Tableau is preferred.
  • Attributes: You are a self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Why Join This Team?

Our client prides itself on a "family-friendly" mindset and a culture that emphasizes teamwork and work-life balance. They offer a robust benefits package and a modern work environment, including:

  • Hybrid Work: Enjoy flexibility with a schedule of Tuesdayโ€“Thursday in-office
  • Financial Security: 401K matching, annual bonuses based on company profit, and comprehensive Health/Vision/Dental/Life insurance.
  • Career Growth: Ample opportunities for industry-related education and advancement into leadership roles.
