Job description

Company Description Main Event Entertainment, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Dallas, operates 64 family entertainment centers across the United States and continues to expand. The brand serves more than 20 million guests annually, offering bowling, games, and shared experiences for families, young adults, and groups of all ages. In June 2022, Main Event joined the Dave & Buster’s family of brands, strengthening its position in the entertainment and hospitality industry. Team members benefit from a lively, guest-focused environment with opportunities to grow as the company opens new centers.

Role Description The Event Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX, responsible for organizing and executing events such as birthday parties, corporate gatherings, and group celebrations. Day-to-day tasks include responding to event inquiries, consulting with guests to understand their needs, preparing detailed event proposals, and securing bookings. The role involves coordinating logistics such as space setup, schedules, food and beverage orders, and activity timing to ensure smooth event execution. The Event Coordinator collaborates closely with operations, kitchen, and sales teams, provides on-site support during events, and follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. This position requires consistent engagement with guests on the center floor and alignment with Main Event’s standards for safety, service, and fun.

Qualifications

  • Strong event planning and event management skills, including organizing multiple events, timelines, and details.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication with guests and team members.
  • Proven customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive, memorable guest experiences.
  • Sales and upselling skills, with the ability to convert inquiries into confirmed events and promote packages and add-ons.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced entertainment environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in hospitality, events, or retail environments is preferred; prior work in family entertainment or restaurants is a plus.
  • Comfort using reservation or event management systems and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, calendars).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality, event management, or related fields is beneficial.
