Vantor, US Government business unit is seeking a talented, self-directed Sr Event Manager to deliver customer experiences designed to drive brand awareness and contact acquisition across the US federal and civil government. In this dynamic role, you will spearhead Vantor's event and tradeshow planning and execution for the US Government business, including but not limited to identifying key events, organizing client engagement, overseeing execution, and measuring impact in Salesforce. You will drive the delivery high-impact events that propel Vantor in the geospatial market. You will lead marquee defense and intelligence events from inception to completion. Working with the Head of Marketing to creating compelling content and customer stories; providing exceptional program management and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders.

The Sr Events Manager contributes to the line-of-business and geography marketing strategy. You will serve as an active member of the USG Marketing team to ensure consistency of strategic marketing programs, disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business and geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches and actively develop new approaches and opportunities for expanding company business base. The Sr Events Manager serves as a liaison with senior marketing management to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans, will ensure consistency between global directions and line-of-business/single-geography implementation choices and manage event social media strategy. You will also have the responsibility of managing relationships with major suppliers, agencies, customers, and industry associations to achieve marketing objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute and continually evaluate and communicate Vantor's event strategy and plan to optimize industry engagement and drive demand for Vantor
  • Building, coordinating, and managing positive relationships with clients, internal teams, venues, and vendors
  • Lead event planning from inception to completion and follow up for third party events and marquee Vantor events. Assemble cross-functional teams to work in unison on content development, client engagement, and maximizing internal and external participation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver results and represent Vantor's values.
  • Leading and motivating teams on-site producing flawless shows, while at the same time ensuring that team expectations are exceeded time and again
  • Basic knowledge required of audio-visual equipment to support client requests and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and demeanor, contributing to a vibrant and engaging event atmosphere.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning
  • Work the trade show booth floor, interacting with attendees, prospects, and partners.
  • Responsible for invoice management and processing of accounting deposits/fees.
  • Expertly manage and troubleshoot last minute changes/challenges and escalate as necessary
  • Coordinate pre- and onsite event logistics and write attendee guides and event post-mortems.
  • Oversee pre-event consultation and planning, venue selection, vendor management, agenda development and show flow, event promotion and registration, printing and shipping, budget management, event staffing, on-site event management, event follow-up, and reporting
  • Create and deliver reports on attendee numbers, campaign results, and event ROI
  • Maintain event calendar, project timelines, and event budget

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years of relevant experience managing trade show events or conferences.
  • Experience managing trade shows and/or conferences within a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong Project Management and negotiation experience in the event space
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Preferred experience with key industry partners, such as USGIF, AFCEA, INSA, Potomac Officers Club and more, a plus

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
