Job description

About the Role:

As a Senior Events Project Manager at Motive, you will help drive the execution of high-impact event initiatives by bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to cross-functional work. You will project manage various event formats-ranging from field marketing events to large-scale trade shows-and lead key components of larger experiential initiatives, ensuring stakeholders stay aligned on scope, timelines, dependencies, and delivery expectations.

In this role, you will work across Marketing, Sales, and external vendors to keep priorities moving, surface risks early, and improve how event operations get done. The right candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, and able to balance executional rigor with flexibility when event logistics or priorities evolve.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage project plans for event initiatives, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, budgeting, and clear ownership across stakeholders.
  • Drive day-to-day execution of event logistics, venue coordination, promotional materials, and on-site operations to help ensure events are delivered seamlessly and with high quality.
  • Identify project risks, logistical blockers, and gaps in process early, and proactively drive resolution with the right internal partners and external vendors.
  • Communicate event status, run-of-shows, decisions, and action items clearly so teams have the context needed to move work forward.
  • Improve event management workflows, documentation, and team coordination practices to support more efficient event execution over time.
What We're Looking For:
  • 4+ years of experience working in an event specialist or event project manager role at a B2B company.
  • Background in managing high-level cross-functional trade shows, field events, corporate sponsorships, or virtual experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient with Asana or similar project management tools, as well as Google suite, Figma, Glean, ChatGPT, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. (Experience with event registration software like Zuddle is a plus).
  • Foundational understanding of event timelines, run-of-shows, and general project management functions.
  • Takes ownership of the production, logistics, and execution of event strategies defined by project drivers.
  • Works within team OKRs and event budgets, influencing outcomes through high-quality project management and collaboration.
  • Understands attendee needs and applies that understanding to event execution and the overall event experience.
  • Communicates effectively to facilitate decision-making, remove blockers, and keep stakeholders informed pre-, during, and post-event.
  • Proactively identifies operational inefficiencies or on-site execution risks and drives solutions to completion.
  • Experience in event project management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Experience managing multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and evolving requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools including Asana, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet-based tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage third-party vendors, maintain accountability, and keep projects moving through ambiguity.
