Job description

The ID Checker will provide friendly and excellent service to every guest as well as checking all identification cards for any patron intending to drink that is over the age of 21 years old. Responsible for checking ID’s at entrance, ensuring that the patron is not under 21 years of age, and focusing on customer service.


This is a part-time position with a monthly schedule based on the upcoming events we have. The full schedule is posted in advance for the entire month, allowing team members to plan accordingly. Shifts typically begin in the evening, with hours varying based on event schedules.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary.


  • Checks all forms of identification for any patron intending to drink alcohol that is over 21 years of age
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations as well as established policies, procedures and controls
  • Promptly and professionally handles guest issues and communicates problems and concerns to management
  • Attends, and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required 
  • Strictly adhere to DLS wristbanding standards and only provide wristbands to patrons that over the age of 21 with official ID
  • DLS Events has a zero-tolerance policy towards giving out any wristbands to persons under the age of 21


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have valid RAMP Certification
  • Proficient in English
  • Capable of basic math to calculate person's age
