Job description

Temporary Receptionist

The Bonadio Group is currently seeking a Temporary Receptionist in our Buffalo office for the time period of July 2026 through November 2026. The position requires a genuine interest in clients, prospects, and other visitors. Our Receptionist will ensure all incoming contacts with The Bonadio Group are welcoming and leave a positive impression, inclusive of current employees and team members.

Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consistently be present at the front desk and greet visitors promptly and professionally; answer all incoming calls for the office, providing back-up phone coverage for other offices as needed; professionally and effectively handle communications with internal personnel as well as external clients, providing excellent client service skills and upholding strict client/firm confidentiality; provide enthusiastic, responsive service to all clients, visitors and co-workers; maintain an attractive reception area and conference rooms
  • Arrange for alternative front desk coverage with other administrative staff during anticipated absences, breaks, Paid Time Off, etc.
  • Handling of all incoming and outgoing mail and special services packages
  • Assist with the picking up of client documents including confidential tax returns and ensuring signing of e-file forms (as directed)
  • Assist other administrative staff as needed with mailing projects
  • Assisting with Time and Expense entry
  • Ability to cross-train new administrative staff on front desk responsibilities, including providing front desk backup assistance as needed
  • Develop and maintain the technological skills required to function at peak efficiency, participating in training programs as required
  • Assisting the Regional Coordinator with placing lunch orders, supply orders, and other projects as needed
  • Assist Regional Coordinator with submission of facilities tickets related to building maintenance needs as requested; manage and schedule conference rooms, with thorough knowledge of details in each room as well as knowledge of video conferencing system
Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of three years of administrative, reception, or relevant experience
  • A minimum three years of proven customer service success
  • Knowledge of typical office methods and procedures, filing, scanning, telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as business English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
Hours of Operation
  • Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
  • We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, at peak times additional hours may be required
