Job description

Job Title: Technical Writer, Manufacturing
Location: Cudahy, WI
Type: Long-term Contract
Compensation: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
Work Model: Onsite - onsite
Hours: 40.0 hours per week
Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support learning, knowledge management, and documentation systems, including user access, system configuration, and troubleshooting (including Dozuki and other enterprise applications).
  • Maintain and organize digital content, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Train and support system users, develop job aids, and promote adoption of learning and knowledge management tools.
  • Generate reports and analyze system data to support compliance, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements, support projects, and improve business processes.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, evaluate new functionality, and optimize system performance.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree with 1+ year of writing experience OR high school diploma with 3+ years of writing experience
  • Ability to wear both half and full-face respirators
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data privacy standards
  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
  • Familiarity with represented environments
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong research skills and ability to independently seek answers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite-especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
