The Talent Sourcer serves as a strategic partner to Talent Acquisition and operational leaders by proactively identifying, engaging, and building relationships with Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and clinical talent for critical and hard-to-fill positions. This role focuses on pipeline development, candidate rediscovery, traveler reduction initiatives, and high-touch candidate engagement to support long-term workforce planning and staffing success across Lifepoint Health facilities. Through research, relationship-building, market intelligence, and data-driven sourcing strategies, the Talent Sourcer helps connect exceptional healthcare professionals with meaningful career opportunities.

How you'll contribute

A Sourcer who excels in this role:

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and convert Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and clinical support talent for critical and hard-to-fill positions across Lifepoint Health facilities.

  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines through proactive outreach, candidate rediscovery, networking, referrals, research, and creative sourcing techniques.

  • Develop an understanding of workforce planning priorities, traveler utilization, vacancy trends, and staffing challenges to align sourcing strategies with organizational needs.

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition Recruiters and hiring leaders to understand workforce needs, hiring priorities, traveler reduction initiatives, and long-term staffing strategies.

  • Conduct targeted outreach and high-touch candidate engagement activities to build relationships with active and passive healthcare professionals.

  • Present employment opportunities and effectively communicate Lifepoint Health's value proposition to candidates in highly competitive nursing markets.

  • Utilize multiple sourcing channels, including databases, social media, professional organizations, search engines, networking groups, referrals, and open-source intelligence tools to identify qualified candidates.

  • Perform candidate screening and qualification assessments to evaluate experience, career goals, licensure, and alignment with organizational needs.

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, creating future talent pools even when candidates are not immediately interested in a position.

  • Analyze workforce trends, vacancy data, traveler utilization, pipeline activity, and sourcing metrics to adjust strategies and improve results.

  • Track candidate activity, sourcing outcomes, and pipeline metrics utilizing ATS, CRM, Excel, and reporting tools.

  • Provide market intelligence and sourcing recommendations to recruiters and hiring leaders regarding candidate availability, competition, compensation trends, and recruitment strategies.

  • Maintain accurate candidate records, documentation, and reporting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Support recruitment marketing initiatives and employer branding efforts to promote Lifepoint Health as an employer of choice.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging sourcing technologies, AI tools, and innovative recruitment methods to improve sourcing effectiveness.

  • Participate in special projects and workforce planning initiatives designed to reduce traveler utilization and strengthen long-term nursing recruitment efforts.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing, Sales or related field. Additional requirements include:

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare recruitment or sourcing experience, including direct experience recruiting and/or sourcing Registered Nurses (RNs).

  • Experience recruiting or sourcing Registered Nurses (RNs) within acute care hospital environments.

  • Strong relationship-building and candidate engagement skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill positions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, reporting, and analysis.

  • Strong organizational skills with proven follow-through and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with recruiters and hiring leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Travel nurse recruitment, healthcare sales, or other relationship-driven business development experience.

  • Experience supporting workforce planning, traveler reduction initiatives, or strategic staffing programs.

  • Knowledge of nursing labor markets, vacancy management, staffing challenges, and healthcare workforce trends.

  • Experience sourcing passive candidates using advanced search techniques, social media, AI tools, or open-source intelligence methods.

  • Experience with Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Taleo, or Workday ATS platforms.

  • Professional recruitment certification such as RACS or RACR.

  • Previous leadership, team lead, mentoring, or project ownership experience.
