'Talent' jobs typically refer to roles involved in identifying, recruiting, managing, and developing individuals with skills valuable to an organization, often within human resources or the entertainment industry. In HR, talent professionals focus on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee development. In entertainment, 'talent' can also mean individuals like actors, musicians, or performers, and the teams that manage their careers. These jobs are crucial for ensuring organizations or productions have the right people to achieve their goals.

Company Summary

EchoStar is reimagining the future of connectivity. Our business reach spans satellite television service, live-streaming and on-demand programming, smart home installation services, mobile plans and products.
Today, our brands include Boost Mobile, DISH TV, Gen Mobile, Hughes and Sling TV.

The EchoStar Talent Acquisition team collaborates with innovative leaders across the organization, seeking individuals who embody our company's core values, creative spirit and drive to make a difference. From discovering and nurturing exceptional talent to navigating the complexities of an evolving and multi-dimentional business, our TA professionals are catalysts for positive change, both within the company and in their own careers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role helps transition the recruitment function from a reactive service to a proactive, sourcing-led engine. Top-of-funnel talent challenges are solved by leveraging market intelligence, outbound sourcing, and early career strategy to build scalable talent pipelines before requisitions are even posted. Acting as a key operational anchor, the role drives candidate discovery, nurtures passive talent, and executes targeted pipeline channels such as University Relations, Veteran programs, and Trade Schools to ensure a steady stream of high-quality talent.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Co-develop and execute targeted early career and university pipeline strategies, managing on-campus engagement and school teams while aligning talent programs directly with enterprise hiring needs
  • Conduct strategy and intake sessions for complex or hard-to-fill roles, leveraging market intelligence, talent density data, and applicant funnel metrics to guide sourcing strategy
  • Drive top-of-funnel candidate discovery by executing proactive outbound sourcing, talent landscape mapping, and targeted outreach tailored to early career talent to reduce reliance on passive applicant volume
  • Co-design and launch creative pipeline initiatives, strategic campus/organization partnerships, and pilot program experiences to continuously attract, engage, and convert high-potential early career talent
  • Build, segment, and actively engage passive candidate pipelines and early career talent pools within modern CRM/ATS systems
  • Integrate AI-driven search aggregators, sourcing tools, and ATS workflows into daily operations to streamline discovery, automate screening, and adjust strategies dynamically
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

  • Proven ability to shift recruiting away from transactional posting toward proactive outbound hunting, competitor talent mapping, and market analysis
  • Deep understanding of university relations, early career attraction strategies, and specialized sourcing frameworks
  • Expertise in building and segmenting long-term passive candidate networks using modern ATS/CRM platforms to maintain brand engagement
  • An AI-first mindset with hands-on proficiency in AI search tools, ATS platforms, and talent aggregators to optimize candidate discovery
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning, with a track record of thriving in fast-paced or evolving talent acquisition models
  • Strong strategic sourcing capabilities through a targeted approach to identifying critical talent for the organization

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success sourcing candidates through search strategies, market mapping, and talent landscape research
  • Hands-on experience executing or supporting early career talent initiatives, university recruitment, or targeted pipeline channels
  • Ability to utilize recruiting funnel metrics and market insights to evaluate sourcing health and adjust tactics
  • Strong track record of teaming and collaboration, as well as partnering with cross-functional partners
  • Hands-on proficiency with enterprise ATS tools (iCIMS preferred), CRM/sourcing aggregators, and Early Career attraction tools

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum Experience: Critical experiences in corporate recruiting, sourcing, agency recruiting, or early career programs with demonstrated talent acquisition skills, sourcing capability, and tech fluency
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have experience with:

    • CRM and sourcing aggregators
    • Early Career attraction tools and AI search software
