Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the schedule for all professional and paraprofessional clinical staff assigned to clinical programs (home health, hospice and private duty).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. ย  ย Coordinates/schedules nursing, therapy, social work, chaplain, volunteer and aide assignments in an effective and timely manner; makes necessary changes to compensate for emergency situations and/or acutely ill patients.ย 
2. ย  ย Schedules client appointments/visits according to care plans and staff availability.
3. ย  ย Proficiently uses clinical software to schedule all assignments.
4. ย  ย Contacts care providers and clients regarding day-to-day changes.
5. ย  ย Discerns client services required as outlined in agreements, urgent requests and care plans.
6. ย  ย Maintains and creates various statistical and staffing records. Generates and submits reports as requested.ย 
7. ย  ย Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distributes mail, provides reception and telephone services as needed.

Required:
ย  ย High school diploma or GED.
ย  ย Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and scheduling program.
ย  ย Basic medical terminology.

Preferred: ย 
ย  ย Prior scheduling experience.
ย  ย Two years of experience, preferably in health care.
