Sales Development Representative (SDR) — AvaHR | Chandler, AZ

AvaHR is a hiring platform that helps small and mid-sized businesses post jobs, attract better candidates, and hire faster. We're hiring an in-person Sales Development Representative in Chandler, Arizona to be the first point of contact for business owners and HR leaders who are actively looking for a better way to hire.

As our Sales Development Representative, you'll spend your day talking with curious, motivated prospects—mostly SMB owners and the people responsible for hiring at their companies. Your job is to understand what they're struggling with, show them what AvaHR can do through live product demos, and guide them toward a confident decision. This is a relationship-driven, goal-oriented sales role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping small businesses solve real problems.

This Sales Development Representative position is based on-site at our Chandler office within the beautiful Venture X facility. If you're energized by helpful conversations, comfortable presenting software, and motivated by clear targets, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Connect with inbound and prospective leads—primarily small business owners and HR decision-makers exploring hiring solutions
  • Qualify prospects by uncovering their hiring goals, pain points, and current process
  • Deliver clear, tailored demo presentations that show how AvaHR fits each business
  • Communicate the value of AvaHR in practical terms that resonate with busy owners
  • Own your pipeline from first conversation through follow-up and close
  • Build trust and long-term relationships with prospects and clients
  • Stay current on the HR, recruiting, and hiring-technology landscape so you can advise credibly
  • Consistently meet and exceed your sales targets while raising the standard for how we serve customers
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure every prospect has an excellent experience

What We're Looking For

  • Prior sales experience, ideally B2B or SaaS
  • Confidence presenting and demoing software to business decision-makers
  • Familiarity with HR or hiring technology (or the drive to learn it fast)
  • A solid grasp of sales fundamentals and a customer-first mindset
  • A track record of hitting or beating quota
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to work in person at our Chandler, AZ office
  • High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus

Compensation

This role will be provided a base salary DOE. You'll also quality for monthly and annual bonuses based on achieving performance metrics. All full-time positions at AvaHR qualify for Medical, Dental and Vision benefits.

Our Hiring Process

For the SDR position the hiring process is very easy. We will be reviewing resumes for 2 weeks. We will select our top 6 candidates to complete a Zoom virtual interview. The following week we have in-person interviews and plan to hire 2-3 individuals.
