RECRUITER COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Recruiter Coordinator is a member of the community services team consisting of the Program Director for Community Services, Family Consultants and foster parents. The Recruiter Coordinator will be accountable to and supervised by the Program Director for Community Services and the agency administration.

The Recruiter Coordinator must be able to demonstrate good decision-making ability related to the safety and well-being of the foster families and the clients served by the agency. This person will be required to travel extensively, and will have to be able to stay informed of foster care regulations as pertaining to foster home licensing and approval. This person must be able to analyze and react to difficult situation while under considerable stress and pressure. Decisions made will be guided by precedent and established policies and procedures.

The Recruiter Coordinator is responsible implementing the childcare philosophies, policies, procedures and practices of Elks Aidmore, Inc. as they pertain to this job description, as directed by program administration, and as needed by the client, foster family, and custodian. The Recruiter Coordinator must be dependable, emotionally stable and physically capable. This position requires some physical functions that are considered essential to the performance of the outlined job responsibilities, i.e., sitting, standing, walking, driving, speaking, and hearing. The Recruiter Coordinator will be responsible for extensive travel to consist of making visits to the foster home; court appearances; school and medical visits. The Recruiter Coordinator must serve as a role model for the clients, be able to work with cooperatively other staff members, and be able to recognize when assistance and consultation is needed.

The Recruiter Coordinator must have an understanding of the concepts of community-based child welfare and be able to work with young people who exhibit varying emotional and behavioral problems. In addition, this individual must be able to effectively relate to clients, foster parents, and parents/custodians of all social, economic, ethnic, cultural and educational backgrounds. The Recruiter Coordinator must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.

The Recruiter Coordinator position requires an individual with demonstrated skill in performing the duties as outlined. The position requires a BA or BS degree in a human service field, three years of paid, direct experience working with children and families, or a Master's degree in a human service field and one year of paid direct service experience working with children and families. Preference is given to individuals with experience in family or group psychotherapy with children or adolescents; possess a high level of interpersonal and written communication skills; have documented training in working with children and adolescents; are skilled in maintaining highly confidential information; have experiential knowledge of management information systems such as GA SHINES and Extended Reach; and, have the ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation. The Recruiter Coordinator must complete IMPACT Leader Certification within a reasonable timeframe, and write home studies for prospective foster parents. The individual must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Georgia driverโ€™s license.

The responsibilities of the Recruiter Coordinator are:

1. Recruit foster home for TFC Program

2. To provide Orientation for prospective foster parents

3. To provide IMPACT training to new foster parents

4. To complete licensing documentation for home approval to include:

a. Home studies

b. CPS and criminal background checks

c. Home and safety check

d. Medical and drug screening

e. CPR and First Aid certification

f. IMPACT/MAPP certificates

5. To enter all data into identified management information systems.

6. Completing foster home Re-evaluations are completed in a timely manner

7. To be available to assist with crises.

8. To participate in scheduled on-call rotation.

9. To ensure that all necessary documentation, as required by agency policy, minimum state licensing standards, and Council on Accreditation guidelines, is maintained in a current fashion.

10. To assist in the coordination of community activities, including those associated with the Elks and Auxiliaries.

11. To represent Elks Aidmore to other agencies and the public, as needed, by assisting in making personal appearances and participating in activities of professional organizations.

12. To communicate with the Program Director for Community Services, on at least a weekly basis, through attendance at Community Services team meetings or individual conferences.

13. To be responsible for any other duties as requested or assigned by the Program Director for Community Services, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Board of Trustees and/or any committee to which the Board has delegated authority.
