Purchasing Coordinator

Position Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the purchasing and procurement process for electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure materials and equipment are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and aligned with project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and process purchase orders within the procurement system
  • Source and procure electrical materials, equipment, and project-related supplies
  • Solicit, review, and compare vendor quotations
  • Track order status, deliveries, and assist with resolving discrepancies
  • Perform invoice reconciliation and support resolution of billing issues
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding order updates and timelines
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor documentation, and procurement files
  • Ensure accuracy of pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and item details within the system
  • Monitor material pricing trends and support cost control initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
