Position Overview

Limelight Hawaii is a state-of-the-art entertainment and dining destination offering nightly shows, signature cocktails, à la carte dinner service, and full banquet events spanning breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are seeking talented, personable, and service-driven Bartenders to craft beverages, engage with guests, and deliver high-quality bar experiences across diverse service formats—from high-volume show nights to refined banquet receptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistent with Limelight's recipes and brand standards.
  • Provide cocktail and beverage service for:
    • Entertainment showroom (pre-show, intermission, and post-show service)
    • À la carte dinner service
    • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner banquet events
    • Daily lunch service for guests and groups
  • Maintain strong knowledge of signature cocktails, wine lists, local craft beers, and banquet beverage menus.
  • Engage with guests in a professional and welcoming manner, promoting featured cocktails and upselling premium beverages.
  • Accurately enter orders into POS system and manage tabs efficiently.
  • Prepare bar setup, stock inventory, and ensure cleanliness and readiness before, during, and after service.
  • Adhere to state liquor laws, company alcohol service policies, and safe serving practices.
  • Assist banquet staff with beverage service for large events, including setting up portable bars and specialty stations.
  • Support team members and collaborate with wait help, barbacks, and managers to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or banquet environment preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, with ability to follow and present recipes consistently.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills, with an approachable and engaging style.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced entertainment venue.
  • Must be 21 years or older with current alcohol service certification (Hawaii's liquor card required).
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Toast or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
