Job description


RH is seeking a Leader, Procurement and Purchasing, who will be instrumental in the ownership of the end-to-end procurement for furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) across all Gallery developments, including retail and hospitality. In this role, you will play a key role in every phase - from design handoff through purchasing, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, installation, and final project turnover.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead sourcing initiatives for FF&E procurement across new construction projects as well as existing building remodels
  • Partner with Visual Creative team to define project needs, budget, specifications, and timeline for all FF&E items
  • Research and identify potential new vendors to create opportunities for cost savings, bulk purchasing, and overall efficiency
  • Oversee negotiation of commercial terms, pricing, and Purchase Order agreements
  • Identify and implement technologies and systems in order to streamline the procurement process
  • Partner closely with vendors throughout all stages of the project life cycle, including product development, cost improvement strategies, accurate quoting, and tracking of submittals for approval
  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive tracking of all project documentation, including shop drawings, finish samples, tear sheets, production lead times, and consolidation opportunities to optimize workflows
  • Develop a responsibility matrix in collaboration with the Architecture and Construction teams to clearly define expectations
  • Lead to ensure alignment and accountability throughout each project lifecycle
  • Lead the on-order pipeline of fixtures and materials to meet critical project milestones
  • Oversee fabrication, quality control, shipping and delivery of product, ensuring alignment with overall project schedule
  • Conduct multi-vendor pricing analyses and competitive bid evaluations to support strategic sourcing decisions and value optimization
    Oversee new vendor set up, purchase order execution and timely payments
  • Partner with the transportation team as needed on logistics and arrival to the site
  • Lead the onsite installation of goods in partnership with the construction team, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with design vision
    Own the vendor performance and issue resolution process for any deficiencies that may arise during and/or after the installatio
  • Lead and maintain procurement status boards for all FF&E items by project on Monday.com

OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; retail and hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience working with tight deadlines and strong attention to detail
  • Effectively build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Thrives in dynamic, feedback-driven environments - bringing a self-directed, inquisitive approach to solving complex challenges in cross-functional settings
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational and project management skills, effectively prioritizing critical tasks, maintaining timelines, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequently moving and lifting items up to 50 lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and following safety guidelines
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by business needs and event schedules
  • Frequent working on feet for extended periods during gallery openings
