Job description

SBM Management is currently looking to hire a Procurement Analyst I to join their team! The Procurement Analyst I supports Procurement and company's business requirements by analyzing and coordinating technical services such as system changes, business models which include processes and data, web based KPI and related reporting solutions. Coordinates and supports Procurement operations by performing the following duties
Responsibilities

  • Partner with various project and business management to understand and document the project objectives and scope
  • Communicate business objectives, requirements and overall specifications by working with business users, project management and Sr. Business Analyst
  • Identifies Business needs and develops appropriate solutions or recommendations, while defining costs and associated benefits
  • Conducts research and analytical studies, preparing business requirement documentation describing project objectives while listing the requirements for each business area prioritized into mandatory, desirable and optional
  • Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier and/or product to be used
  • Maintains supplier database and catalog(s)
  • Tests system and works with programmers to debug as required in order to eliminate errors
  • Maintain, create and update processes and procedures
  • Provides support as backup for Buyers and Managers
  • Plans analysis work and highlights risks and issues while working closely with project managers


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Reporting Software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Experience with integrating data from multiple systems into single application or platform strongly preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Five years MIS experience

Compensation: $70,200 - $70,500 per year
