Position Available: Category Analyst
Job Summary: The Category Analyst is a strategic leader responsible for owning category vision, retailer partnerships, and enterprise-level insights. This role drives long-term category growth by translating advanced analytics and consumer insights into actionable strategies. Operating with broad scope and influence, the Category Manager partners with senior leadership and key retail stakeholders to shape category direction and support high-impact business decisions.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end category strategy, positioning, and long-term growth roadmap
  • Define category vision and strategic priorities in partnership with senior leadership
  • Drive enterprise-level insights that inform business and investment decisions
  • Lead executive category reviews and strategic planning forums
  • Own innovation pipeline strategy and category development roadmap
  • Serve as the primary category thought leader and strategic partner for key retailers
  • Lead joint business planning, line reviews, and strategic category initiatives
  • Influence assortment, pricing, shelving, and promotional strategies at scale
  • Negotiate complex category programs and collaborative initiatives
  • Represent the organization as a category management expert with retail partners
  • Lead advanced analytical frameworks and forecasting models
  • Synthesize consumer, shopper, and market insights into executive narratives
  • Anticipate market shifts and competitive threats
  • Provide strategic guidance on pricing, promotion, and assortment decisions
  • Establish best practices for category analytics and insights
  • Act as a strategic advisor to sales, marketing, insights, and R amp;D teams
  • Mentor Senior Category Managers and Category Analysts (without direct reports)
  • Standardize category processes, tools, and methodologies

Skills amp; Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field
  • 7–10 years of category management or related CPG experience
  • Proven success leading category strategy and retailer partnerships
  • Demonstrated enterprise-level influence and business impact
  • Expert-level proficiency in Nielsen, IRI, SPINS
  • Advanced analytics, forecasting, and modeling expertise
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and research tools
