Job Description:
If you are a Supply Chain professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Cudahy, WI location, the Commodity Analyst will provide coordination and leadership to design and implement a supply/logistics network which delivers competitive cost and meets quality, speed, and flexibility requirements. In this role, you will develop and implement supplier metrics focused on improving supplier performance regarding lead-time, quality, OTD, and compliance. You will strive to understand cost drivers and supply sources within assigned commodities, and you will
represent the supply chain in support of both New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering initiatives.
AS A COMMODITY ANALYST, YOU WILL:
  • Lead the supply chain and sourcing activities for assigned commodity portfolio
  • Coordinate supply improvement projects with sustaining engineering and lead project review meetings
  • Consistently improve supplier performance in terms of delivery to ensure global supply chain networks to meet operational and sales needs
  • Coordinate Supply Chain programs with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and site tactical Buyers.
  • Drive cost savings and trade working capital improvements (DPO/Inventory) through negotiations, eSourcing, and other activities related to supplier selection, short/long-term strategies and program management
  • Lead reviews with suppliers utilizing the supplier metrics and implement programs to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, risk management, technology, and commercial terms
  • Ensure tracking and monitoring is in place for suppliers with performance issues.
  • Drive internal and external accountability for improvement opportunities.
  • Lead projects related to assigned commodities, suppliers, logistics, etc. to improve overall supply chain key performance indicators
  • Manage strategic operations and supply chain projects and initiatives as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field (equivalent working experience in commodity management may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a procurement function or related experience.
  • Indirect and capital experience preferred.
  • Requires strong project management, organizational, communication, and data analyzing skills.
  • Must be self-directed, team-oriented, and able to evaluate and effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Outstanding strategic agility and business acumen.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel analysis skills including use of advanced financial functions and pivot tables.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
