How will you fit into the big picture?

Serves as a category thought leader for our Hershey Salty/Protein Business as well as a retail advisor for the Easter and Holiday Seasons. Responsible for translating shopper, category, and consumer insights into actionable strategies that drive category growth and retailer success.

  • Serve as a trusted category advisor to Family Dollar through fact-based recommendations that drive category growth and Hershey share gains. 
  • Synthesize actionable insights using retailer data, syndicated data, shopper insights, and internal business data sources.
  • Support Category Management objectives and distribution goals using tools such as Circana, 1010data, Numerator Insights, Dunnhumby, Power BI, Excel, Copilot, and Mekko charts. 
  • Utilize Hershey's internal order management system, SOLVE, to write and place orders that support sell-through and customer-defined targets.
  • Analyze business performance, distribution, assortment, and category opportunities to deliver meaningful recommendations.
  • Transform complex data into compelling stories that influence strategic planning, assortment decisions, allocations, and seasonal execution.
  • Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to create efficiencies and improve Category Management processes.
Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Category Management, CPG Sales, Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience leveraging data and insights to influence business decisions and customer outcomes.
  • Foundational knowledge of category management principles and consumer packaged goods industry trends.
  • Experience working with retailer, shopper, syndicated, or internal data sources preferred. 
  • Strong analytical, storytelling, and technical skills with tools such as Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Copilot, Circana, 1010data, Numerator, and Dunnhumby. 
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
