As a Sourcing Consultant, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with business partners and suppliers to develop strategic Consulting/Professional Services/Outsourcing contracts and relationships. As a Sourcing Consultant within our Professional Services category, you'll help us transform the way our teams deliver value to our business partners. We are seeking highly motivated Consulting/Professional Services Sourcing professionals who can encourage innovative solutions that are valuable (saves money for the business), viable (the solution fulfills the requirements and works within the constraints of our business), and strategic (leverages industry intelligence that keeps us ahead of the competition.)

Your day could look like this:

  • Coach and influence internal and external leaders and teams to promote best practices in category management and achieve business results
  • Develop sourcing initiative strategy according to the total cost of ownership model, internal data, and category market intelligence
  • Collaborate with our leaders to deliver solutions for their business needs as we produce outcomes our customers love
  • Direct and execute on all aspects of strategic sourcing for medium-to-high complexity (dollar and risk) third-party spend needs
  • Lead consulting statement of work requirements development, supplier selection, pricing analysis, and contract review and negotiation
  • Support audit compliance and risk management efforts

Who You Are

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years related experience in sourcing, supply chain management, contract negotiations, or contract law.
  • Knowledge of and experience with strategic sourcing principles and supply base management strategy with particular emphasis in professional services categories
  • Desire to learn about market intelligence & analytics within the professional services industry
  • Proven ability to engage with business partners and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
  • Aptitude for solving complex problems and challenging/influencing stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are vital

Additional preferred skills:

  • Extensive experience negotiating Professional Service agreements (all types) 
  • Strategic planning, spend analysis and supplier management (performance tracking and reporting, governance) experience 
  • Experience as a sourcing consultant within the consulting and managed / outsourced services categories strongly
  • Experience with contingent workforce programs / staffing MSP’s

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

The following levels and locations are examples of market-specific salary ranges across different job levels and geographies. Candidates will be evaluated to determine the appropriate job level based on their skills and experience. 

  • Des Moines, IA: $110,200 - $140,000 / year
  • Charlotte, NC: $116,000 - $140,000 / year

Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
