Work Schedule: Hybrid (Minimum 4 days onsite per week)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Event Sourcing Consultant to support corporate meeting and event sourcing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitality background with hands-on experience in venue sourcing, supplier negotiations, hotel contracting, and Cvent. This role involves managing multiple sourcing projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source hotels, venues, restaurants, and event suppliers for corporate meetings and events.
- Manage end-to-end venue sourcing using Cvent Supplier Network, including RFP creation, proposal evaluation, supplier communication, and documentation.
- Review and negotiate supplier contracts, including rates, concessions, cancellation, and attrition terms.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver sourcing solutions.
- Handle multiple sourcing assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Support administrative activities, including document management through DocuSign and Ariba.
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, risk, and third-party management requirements.
- Prepare bid comparisons, supplier recommendations, and sourcing reports.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in corporate meeting & event sourcing, venue sourcing, hotel sales, catering, convention services, or hospitality.
- Hands-on experience with Cvent for venue sourcing and RFP management.
- Experience negotiating meeting and event supplier contracts.
- Strong knowledge of hotel contracts, pricing, concessions, cancellation, and attrition clauses.
- Experience managing multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of enterprise procurement, contracting, or third-party risk management.
- Supplier relationship management experience.
- Experience preparing supplier comparisons and financial analyses.
- CMP or other hospitality/event management certifications.
- Exposure to AI tools for productivity and sourcing activities.
Pay Range: $43- $45
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
