Job description

Sales Representative – Commercial Printing & Mail Services

Territory: Baltimore–Washington / Mid-Atlantic Region

Work Arrangement: Field-Based / Flexible

Company: Ridge Printing Corporation

The Opportunity

Ridge Printing Corporation is looking for an experienced printing and mail services Sales Representative with an established book of business to join our growing team.

Under new ownership, Ridge is making a significant investment in growing the sales side of the business. We're looking for an established industry professional who wants the resources, flexibility, competitive pricing, and direct access to ownership needed to win more business and grow their existing accounts.

This is not an entry-level sales position. The right candidate will already have relationships within the commercial printing, direct mail, or related industries and be capable of bringing active opportunities to the table.

For the right salesperson, we're prepared to build an attractive compensation structure designed around the size of your book of business and current earnings.

Why Ridge Printing?

Ridge has served customers throughout the region for more than 60 years and provides commercial printing and mail services under one roof.

Our capabilities include:

  • 40-inch Heidelberg press capabilities for larger commercial print projects
  • Digital printing
  • Jet envelope printing
  • Full-service mailshop capabilities
  • Projects ranging from business cards and letterhead to large commercial print runs
  • In-house estimating and customer service support
  • Competitive, aggressive pricing designed to help our sales team win business

You'll be joining a small sales organization where your business matters. Instead of being one of dozens of sales representatives competing internally for attention and resources, you'll have direct access to ownership, responsive estimating and customer service support, and the ability to move opportunities quickly.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is an established printing industry salesperson who can bring an existing customer base and begin generating quoting opportunities shortly after joining Ridge.

Must-haves:

  • Proven sales experience in commercial printing, mailshop/direct mail, or a closely related industry
  • An established and transferable book of business
  • Existing customer relationships and industry contacts
  • Demonstrated history of closing and managing revenue-producing accounts
  • Strong knowledge of commercial printing and/or mailing services
  • Ability to independently manage customer relationships and develop additional business

Ideally, candidates will have managed a $200,000–$300,000+ annual book of business, although we're open to discussing larger books and structuring compensation accordingly.

What You'll Do

  • Transition and grow existing customer relationships and business opportunities
  • Generate quoting opportunities from your established network
  • Identify and close additional commercial printing and mail opportunities
  • Meet with customers to understand upcoming projects and recommend solutions
  • Work closely with Ridge's estimating and customer service teams to develop competitive quotes
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing accounts
  • Develop additional prospects using Ridge's sales resources and tools
  • Maintain visibility into opportunities, quotes, and customer activity
  • Represent Ridge throughout the Baltimore–Washington and broader Mid-Atlantic market

Territory & Flexibility

We're primarily interested in experienced sales professionals throughout the Baltimore–Washington region, including:

  • Baltimore and surrounding Maryland markets
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Northern Virginia
  • Delaware
  • Southern Pennsylvania

Candidates within approximately 60–90 minutes of the Baltimore area may be a fit.

This is a field-focused sales position. We care more about customer conversations, opportunities, quotes, and results than how much time you spend sitting in an office.

You'll have access to office space when needed, along with in-house estimating and customer service support.

Sales Resources

Ridge provides the infrastructure to help an established salesperson expand their book, including:

  • In-house estimating
  • Dedicated customer service support
  • ePace print management/CRM system
  • ZoomInfo and Salesloft prospecting resources
  • Competitive pricing
  • Broad in-house print and mail capabilities
  • Direct access to company ownership

The expectation is that you bring an existing foundation of business; we'll provide additional resources to help you expand it.

Compensation

Compensation is flexible and will be structured around the candidate's experience, existing book of business, current compensation, and revenue potential.

For candidates with a strong transferable book, Ridge is prepared to offer a competitive commission structure designed to meet or exceed typical industry compensation and create a compelling reason to make a move.

We are also open to discussing part-time or alternative arrangements with highly experienced industry professionals, including individuals who may have stepped away from a full-time sales role but still maintain valuable customer relationships.

Benefits & Tools

Ridge offers:

  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Company-provided laptop
  • Cell phone
  • Company email
  • Office workspace
  • Mileage reimbursement for documented business travel

If you're an established printing or mail sales professional with relationships you believe could benefit from Ridge's capabilities, pricing, and hands-on support, we'd like to talk.
