Overview Senior Strategic Management Consultant Location: On-Site at Customer Location (Annapolis Junction, MD) Clearance Required: TS/SCI with an active Poly. BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Strategic Management Consultant to support top-level officials in developing strategy, budget, and policy direction for a large government agency.

What you will do As a Senior Strategic Management Consultant, you'll: * Drive Strategic Planning: Collaborate with operations and technical stakeholders to develop programs and resource allocation in response to strategic plans and direction.

* Support Defense Planning: Be involved in all aspects of the Department of Defense's Future Year Defense Planning (FYDP), including adjustments based on evolving requirements. * Lead Strategic Meetings: Facilitate high-level discussions to align priorities and objectives. * Analyze & Inform: Review and synthesize large amounts of data to provide actionable insights that inform strategy.

* Develop Emerging Trends Reports: Work directly with stakeholders to develop, solicit, and edit concise "1-pagers" describing emerging security trends. * Consolidate Opinions: Summarize survey data and stakeholder feedback to inform decision-making. * Assist Environmental Assessments: Support the annual Environmental Assessment of the agency to identify risks and opportunities.

What you need to have * Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with a Poly. * Education & Experience: * BA/BS degree with 15+ years of experience, OR * Advanced Degree (MA/MS) with 10+ years of experience, OR * 20+ years of professional experience with no degree. * Technical Expertise: * Deep understanding of Department of Defense strategic plans and priorities.

* Experience with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process (IPBS experience is also acceptable). * Proven ability to translate guidance and strategic plans into actionable plans. * Experience developing Congressional Budget Justification Book entries/narratives.

* Strong understanding of analytic processes to identify program and resource dependencies. * Knowledge of program build processes, performance management, and expected outcomes. * Advanced proficiency with Excel, including building pivot tables and graphs.

What we'd like you to have * Readiness & Performance Management: Experience with readiness, performance management, and other strategic planning activities. * Data Savvy: Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills. * PPBE Expertise: A deep understanding of the PPBE process, with the ability to navigate it seamlessly.
