Job Description:

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a highly organized and motivated Paralegal Assistant to join its team. This role is 100% onsite, offering strong mentorship, training, and growth potential within a collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the legal field while gaining hands-on experience supporting experienced paralegals.

Key Responsibilities

You will support paralegals in a variety of litigation-related tasks, including:

  • Maintaining case files, document control, and filing systems
  • Assisting with document productions and database management
  • Preparing and organizing legal documents, binders, and correspondence
  • Coordinating mailings and court filings
  • Assembling witness files and preparing materials for depositions and hearings
  • Supporting trial preparation and pretrial documentation
  • Performing cite-checking for legal briefs
  • Traveling to courthouses to file or obtain documents
  • Indexing and organizing files for offsite storage
  • Assisting with additional administrative and legal tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Paralegal certificate preferred (not required)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
