Job Description
Senior NPI Packaging Program Manager for Key Accounts, R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, Santa Clara, CA. Responsible for New Product Introduction and overall Performance of all areas of business for key clients. This includes developing and maintaining all key client relationships and deliverables and ensuring execution within the factory at target costs and on time.
Includes: coordinating packaging design related resources and activities: account coordination, structural design, inspection of graphic design/pre-media, participation in press checks, validation of package design, process creatin and improvement, quality assurance, solution development, material recommendations and logistics. Analyze reliability test reports to provide potential technical solutions. Participate in Pricing negotiations by fully understanding technical and manufacturing requirements to help shape should costing models and communicate this information to assist with pricing negotiations. Maintain post-ramp contact with customers to drive continuous improvement, innovations and cost down opportunities. Provide tactical support to management, provide information regarding customer issues, needs and opportunities, such as packaging technical issues during
the NPI development phase, and providing alternative solutions to enhance optimization of the product. Resolve issues that arise during production of customer products.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor's, progressive, related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
Reviewing all facts and weigh and prioritize the costs, benefits, risks, or chances for success on business initiatives;
Designing and execution solutions for clients within Design, Print and Packaging, Supply Chain and Logistics space for Global Consumer Electronics clients;
Engineering of Precision Graphic packaging;
Synthesizing and presenting all strategies and solutions including commercial, design, manufacturing, and opportunities for process improvement, in a clear and succinct manner tailored for each specific audience;
Working with cross-functional, cross-divisional and international teams with specific emphasis on China based
manufacturing;
Designing for Manufacturing, designing workflows, Creating and Tracking Master Issue List (MIL), Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Manufacturing and Inspection Plan and Process DFMs;
Analyzing reports and data to identify revenue and cost containment opportunities;
Working with clients and internal teams on new products to solve operational challenges and navigate the potential technical direction from concept stage to mass production cycle; and
Understanding test reports and quality data to drive improvements and meet client specifications and requirements.
Must have experience with/in:
Working independently and on a flexible schedule to support the business and account requirements of customers and team members located in Europe and Asia; and
Working with cross cultural and multilingual teams.
Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) days per week.
Up to 30% of domestic and international travel required.
Additional Information
RRD's salary for this role is $171,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
